Pitch+250 Contest Submissions are Closed

We are now closed to submissions. Thanks to all the great entrants!

The Pitch+250 contest is open to YA, MG, and NA manuscripts. On February 4th at noon EST, we will begin accepting submissions. The submission window will close on February 9th at 11:00pm EST, or when we receive 100 submissions, whichever comes first. Good Luck!

Martina and Jan will review the submissions and narrow them down to the top 50, who will be announced on February 11th.

Round 1 – The top 50 submissions will be judged by our blogger judges. The top 25 will be announced on February 18th and will move on to Round 2.

Round 2 – The top 25 submissions will be judged by our author judges. The top 10 will be announced on February 25th and will move on to Round 3.

Round 3 – The top 10 submissions will be judged by our agent judges. The winner and 4 runners-up will be announced on March 5th.

Prizes
The winner will receive a three chapter critique (30 pages max) by Molly Jaffa of Folio Literary Management.

The 4 runners-up will each receive a one chapter critique (10 pages max) by one of our agent judges.

The remainder of the top 25 will receive a one chapter critique (10 pages max) by one of the judges.

The top 10 pitches and first 250 words will be posted on the blog in their entirety on February 25th and 26th, and we will be inviting agents to take a look at them.

Submission Guidelines
Starting at noon EST on Monday 2/4, please send your pitch of no more than 250 words plus the first 250 words of your manuscript in the body of an email to 4kidlit (at) gmail (dot) com. We will accept a maximum of 100 submissions. You must include Pitch+250 in the subject line. Please use the following format in the body of your email:
